[ it's a little unusual, to be given a whole other lifeform to look after in the comfort of his home. shou initially thought that it might be a cheeky test of his will, seeing its — his — preferred form, so similar to the one that tore his humanity from his body. but over time, he's seen that the forms are simply that... modes of learning and interaction.
on some level, he supposes he understands. there are things he's learned thanks to fushi, too. ]
I'm home. [ shou's voice resounds from the entryway. ] ...you sound energetic today.
[ there is a tail going a mile a minute somewhere in this apartment. ]
(yes, the wolf speaks, as if there is nothing wrong with that. it also tilts its head, biting onto shou's hand to lead him to the kitchen.
he's been watching the people cook, on the weird square that shows images, or when they leave for walks around the neighbourhood. he might as well try - it will taste awfully, however. burnt meat, underseasoned, bland, flavors that don't mix... almost like he attempted to throw everything in the kitchen together.
it's a mess on the floor and everything, but the wolf still boops the boy with his nose.)
[ sometimes, fushi reminds shou of the words that he takes for granted. ]
Home. It's the place that you have to return to.
[ he says it easily, though the concept weighs on him as if the wolf had placed it there with intent. but after hanging up his coat and his bag and stepping into his house slippers, he goes without resistance to the kitchen... there is definitely the scent of cooking in the air, which is, well. sort of alarming, when your current housemate doesn't have thumbs.
and once he enters the kitchen, all is clear. pausing, shou responds to the boop with an absent lift of his hand, placing it instead on fushi's head, right between his ears. ]
(ok, he understands. or he so thinks he does. why would he have to return to this place, however? he doesn't have to... does he? he enjoys it, it feels a little different. shou's scent is everywhere, unlike anything else he ever sniffed, and he knows he could smell it forever.
nevermind the tail smacking on shou's side, way too strongly, as he looks at his own work. he's seen dogs do that when they're happy, so now, he can't drop the habit.)
Yes! Yes!
(a small tornado surrounds him, and he turns into a boy. the first time shou's seen it knowingly, and he points to the mess he's made as to highlight the terrible wonders atop of the counter.)
